On May 8th Dan and Alisha took the shuttle to SL and boarded a flight to Atlanta. In Denver they got separated but both ended up at Luke's that night. I went the next day and arrived at Luke's in time for Spencer's baptism. Unfortunately we had not attended Maddie's, Christian's, nor Brighton's baptisms because we didn't know them then. We had missed Karly's baptism because Dan had just been released from the SL VA hospital at that time. So this was the first grandchild's baptism that we were able to attend. Luke and Jenn had done a marelous job preparing Spencer and he was already for this big step. They studied "Preach My Gospel" with him and had read scriptures together. He called earlier and asked me to give a talk about Baptism and I was honored to do so. We were also most excited to spend a little time with their family. Jenn set us up in Karly's room again and Daniel and Dalynn brought their family down for the weekend, too. So much fun all together. I didn't take as many pictures as I should have because we were having too much fun. We went for walks, shopping and out to dinner afterwards. Here are a few of the pictures I have.
Later that day we all went to Golden Coral for dinner. The best part was watching all the children get their own food. They ate whatever they wanted and had as much or little of it as they liked. Luke said that when Spencer thought back on his baptism day he would probably remember dinner first. We really love these families and every minute we get to spend with them is precious to us.
I flew home on Sunday morning and Dan and Alisha came later that week.
