Easter Dinner with Hal

Dan and I have a very special friend named Hal Monson.  Hal is a member of our Templeview Ward and in the High Priest quorum with Dan.  He's also one of our very dearest friends.

Hal lost his wife to Parkinson's a few years back but he is full of life and fun.  He misses her greatly but uses his energy to help others.  He took a special liking to Dan and became very close to our family when Dan started having problems and ended up in the SL VA in a coma. Hal would come over and help with whatever we needed.  He was a great strength to me and encouraged me in how I could help Dan.  Over the past few years we've learned that because of the Ithium coma Dan displays Parkinsonian symptoms and although he doesn't actually have Parkinsons he appears as if he does.  We're learning more and more all the time that the syndrome he has really does work like Parkinsons.

Anyway, Hal knows what it was like to deal with such symptoms and offered much help and support.  We came to love him dearly and often have him over for dinner.

One such time was for Easter this year.  We didn't have any family who could come and neither did he so we all enjoyed the day together.
